When Knuckles the Echidna and Porker Lewis found themselves in the Special Zone, Porker ran from the police and found refuge in the Purple Mushroom. Unfortunately, he ran into former employer Hammerhead, who was currently enraged that a table-serving waiter had spilt a glass of water on his coat. A fight broke out between Knuckles and Hammerhead, with the shark winning easily. The commotion led to the regulars fleeing the building, attracting the attention of Mighty the Armadillo and Espio the Chameleon. Arriving into the bar, the two members of the Chaotix Crew initially defeated Hammerhead, but the villain came back strongly and had to be subdued by Knuckles. The New Tek Police, headed up by Lieutenant Furor, soon arrived to arrest everybody at the scene. The Purple Mushroom was left in
