Isabella was born on the 25th of November 1991 to Jordanian born repairman Lucas Asil-He and Honore Asil-He (nee Joseland) in the Suburb of Beaumont, Adelaide in South Australia. Her family moved to Canberra in 1999 when Isabella was 8. She was introduced to Hip-hop in high school, particularly interested in the Hilltop Hoods, from her native Adelaide. MC Booknerd has started her solo album, which is as yet unnamed and is due out January 2011.

During a freestyling event in Canberra in January 2006 Isabella was spotted by MC Mysterious Number 13 to the Hip-Hop band Canberra Dragon. By putting in a good word, Isabella managed to also get her friend and guitarist Makayla Wilson into the band with her. Isabella has featured as MC Booknerd in 9 albums with Canberra Dragon. MC Booknerd has started her solo album, which is as yet unnamed and is due out January 2011.
