Tree Cutting Policies Under Scrutiny, June 6, 2008 PITTSBURGH -- According to the Post Gazette, several oak trees were cut down on the Bob O’ Connor Golf Course in Schenley Park in Pittsburgh. The removal of the trees caused a stir amongst activists as, they claimed that the cutting was done to benefit the course and that there was no reason to cut the trees down. The city contractor has been asked to stop removing the trees while the situation is under review.
