The holy crown in top of the Coat of Arms is known as a Bratislavan Crown, the crown comes from the crown that most kings used during the Kingdom of Bratislava during medieval times, Bratislava's coat of arms has eloved on the ages, the first coat of arms used for a Bratislavan State was made in 1378. The shield of the Bratislavan Coat of arms is divided in two, in the left side and right side according to the viewer's view. * The left side, contains 8 lines, the first 3 lines are red, white and blue, and have a dark red iron cross, which is similar to the flag, the left is supposed to represent Bratislava, the rest of the lines are red and white, and in the 6th line there is a dark red iron cross, simialr to the one avobe and in the flag of Bratislava. * The right side is supposed to represent Hungary, it has green mountains in the 'floor' of the coat, and ith as a darkish-yellow crown in top of the mountains, and a big Bratislavan cross is in top of the crown, the Bratislavan cross has the three Hungarian colors: Green, White and red, since its supposed to represent Hungary. The top of the Coat of arms has a holy crown, which was used by kings during the Middle Ages. Even if Bratislava is a republic, it still contains the crown in it.
