  • The School of Planetology was a comprehensive galactic level university, dedicated to the study of terra-forming. The School was established during the reign of Emperor Paul Atreides on Arrakis, and was dedicated to the memory of Dr Liet Kynes and his pioneering father, Pardot Kynes; the man who first envisioned the beautiful and lush world that Dune eventually would become. Graduates of the School included the lead terra-formers of the planet Salusa Secundus, Lars Siewesca and Qhomba. Assigned to begin the transformation of Salusa, Siewesca and Qhomba, met the Imperial entourage of Jessica Atreides, Irulan Corrino, and Chani Kynes in 10,200 AG. Both men were in awe of Chani, as she was a the daughter of Liet Kynes, and granddaughter of Pardot.
