  • Following the collapse of the Holy Sith Empire after the defeat of the Sith'ari during the Thousand-Year Darkness conflict, internal schisms between the Holy Avatars divided the empire into seven regions of power for two decades, until the Asha'ari ultimately seized control of the factions and reconstituted the empire, with himself as the Dark Lord and Emperor. The Holy Sith Empire's second incarnation survived another three decades until internal strife and discord eventually tore the empire asunder and reduced the various factions into warring states in Sith space. It would not be until roughly four centuries passed, circa 2,000 ABY, that the descendant families of the Holy Avatars, who led the factions, established relative peace between themselves, creating the Sith Hegemony and founding the seven leaders, each a descendent of the family line of a Holy Avatar, for which their kingdoms received their namesake. After the founding of the Sith Hegemony, the Sith Cabal was the only true link between the states, where the leaders of the Sith kingdoms met to discuss matters to their holdings. Although technically Sith Lords, the members of the Sith Cabal were not addressed as "Darths", either by their followers, peers or Sith of other kingdoms, and to do so was considered explicit disrespect. Due to the hostilities between the Sith Hegemony and the Galactic Federation, individuals native to Alliance space seldom acknowledged the Sith beyond their "Darth" titles, with the exceptions being those with political positions. King Sycarion IV, who famously first suggested an alliance against the invasion of the Charon Dominion after recognizing the threat of the Voidborn, was a famous Sith King, as was King Koldun V, who was the only Sith to have transcended into a Logos. During the Charon invasion, the Sith Hegemony was considered to have campaigned the most successful offenses against the seemingly unstoppable Voidborn, with King Sycarion IV achieving legendary status for being the first Force-sensitive and the first individual of the galaxy to have killed a Savants in single combat. However, such action drew the attention of the Prophet of the Void, Krovo Scrios, and led to the deployment of the ancient Kathol superweapon, the Atercor, and the utter annihilation of the sacred ancestral Sith homeworld of Korriban. Ironically, it was the very event which struck a crippling blow to the Sith that ultimately served as the catalyst for King Sycarion's Galactic Emergency Coalition, which placed the Sith Hegemony as both a founding and senior factional member of the alliance between the major powers of the galactic community. The Sith Hegemony was made up of seven spheres of influence and rulership, or kingdoms; the Kingdom of Hâsk, which was ruled by King Ulcisor, the Kingdom of Asha, which was ruled by King Koldun V, the Kingdom of Dzwol, which was ruled by King Sycarion IV, the Kingdom of Derrinaak, which was ruled by Queen Aedra IX, the Kingdom of Midwan, which was ruled by Queen Galatea II, the Kingdom of Ajak which was ruled by Queen Jasael, and the Kingdom of Tyûk, which was ruled by King Oculus VII. At some point after the invasion by the Charon Dominion and the revelation of the existence of the hybrid Logos, the Sith King of Asha, Koldun V, sought to use the ongoing conflict to seize political power and influence to reunite the seven Sith domains into a single kingdom, in a manner akin to the scale previous Holy Sith Empire. Statements from Queen Jasael also suggested she'd held similar ambitions, as did her political ally, King Sycarion IV. Following the destruction of Korriban, the capital of the Sith Hegemony became centralized to Vjun.
