Augustin is an 8th generation Nosferatu. Although loosely affiliated with the Camarilla (primarily through his childe, Calebros), he is in fact the Inconnu Monitor of New York. During the Victorian Age, Augustin, Calebros, and their clanmate Radcliffe with Teeth composed the "Trinity" that led the city's Nosferatu under Joseph Wellesley, who was at the time the de facto Prince of New York. Some outsiders accused Radcliffe with consorting with the enemy, as he maintained the Trinity's contacts with the Nosferatu antitribu that dwelt in and under New York.
