Grimke Grankel's son was a Halogai priest who worshipped the traditional gods of his people. At the behest of Skatval, Grimke cast a spell against the priestly mission from Videssos led by Tzoumas. Although he successfully killed the three native Videssian priests, the Haloga-born Kveldulf survived his spell. The Videssians probably died because they had violated their vows of celebacy, and so were not as strong in their faith as Kveldulf.
