Mari Fahrar (pronounced MAHR-ee fah-RAHR) was a tribeswoman of the Bloody Hawk Bazhir. She was the mother of Hakim Fahrar and midwife of the tribe. Although in the beginning against Alanna she was the first of the women to accept her and her two female shaman-students, Kara and Kourrem, and even offered to give them lessons in weaving, being the best weaver in the tribe. She only appears in The Woman Who Rides Like a Man.
