- Les Village People est un groupe de disco décontracté, pour gens décontractés. On ne sait jamais exactement combien ils sont, ni qui ils sont. Comme les sept merveilles du mondes, on en oublie toujours un, mais eux, ils sont loin d'être des merveilles. Essayons tout du moins de récapituler. Déjà, en premier lieu, il n'y a ni pompier, ni travesti, ni même Pascal Sevran dans leur groupe. Évidemment, ce sont tous des mâles virils.

- Les Village People est un groupe de disco décontracté, pour gens décontractés. On ne sait jamais exactement combien ils sont, ni qui ils sont. Comme les sept merveilles du mondes, on en oublie toujours un, mais eux, ils sont loin d'être des merveilles. Essayons tout du moins de récapituler. Déjà, en premier lieu, il n'y a ni pompier, ni travesti, ni même Pascal Sevran dans leur groupe. Évidemment, ce sont tous des mâles virils. Les Village People sont six. Le septième, comme les sept merveilles du monde (encore une fois, à croire qu'il s'agit d'une secte d'adorateurs des jardins de Babylone, comme Boney M et Raspoutine) n'est plus dans le groupe depuis avant sa création, mais après maints liftings, il a repris le contrôle d'un groupe que nous ne nommerons pas. Ce sont donc six homosexuels. Pour faire propre, on y trouve aussi deux noirs (se référer au noirs des films américains, sauf qu'ici, à défaut de mourir, ils sont les premiers que l'on oublie).
