The Custom Weapon (or Team Weapon) is a secret weapon for your team, which was available in the Weapon Factory in Worms 4: Mayhem and Worms: Ultimate Mayhem. You can choose from a list of premade weapons, or you can make your own. When you make your own, you have three weapon types : You can create a launched weapon, an airstrike, or a thrown weapon. As far as visual customization goes, airstrike and thrown are very limited. You can simply pick a "payload". The damage customization however is very in depth and well made.
