| - Pickups After defeating the Port Arthur North Stars in the western Memorial Cup semi finals, the Braves were allowed four pick-ups (3 skaters and 1 goaltender). The Braves selected Bill Cooper from the Winnipeg Warriors, Jim Lane from the Winnipeg Rangers, Al Dyker and Gerry Bochen both from the Winnipeg Monarchs. The only change was Skyhar replaced Holmes on the third line half way through the series. In the west final, Cooper replaced Skyhar on the third line, defensemen Dyker and Lane were a pairing. Lane missed the first 2 games with an injury and was suspended for game 5. Cooper was injured in game 2, and missed the next 2.
