| - by Oliverio It had been a long month since Cyntia had snuck Quin’s family into Stormwind. In many ways, it had been the most wonderful month of Quin’s life. He’d been able to hug his younger sister and tell his parents the things he needed to say. Those were precious gifts, and Quin had showered Cyntia with kisses since then. On top of that, January had been a chilly month, and it had been a good excuse to spend a number of mornings staying cuddled together under a big blanket, waiting for the morning sun to warm the streets before they went out to see what could be earned busking. But, as Quin sat at the small, rickety table, the paper remained mostly blank. It was littered with false starts and crossed out lyrics. Quin was, frankly, disgusted with himself. He hadn’t been able to conjure up a single song for that same month. He was stalled and it was killing him. He wanted so badly to make the perfect song for Cyn, to show her the perfection of his love for her. He balled up the paper and tossed it across the room, vainly hoping that perhaps a new, blank page would open up the gates to what he was feeling. The sound of Cyntia galloping up the stairs (she didn’t seem to have a ‘slow’ mode, Quin had found) made Quin smile but also made him sigh heavily. Another morning and nothing to show for it, nothing to give to her. Cyn burst in, tossing out a gleeful “Good morning, lover!”, and then bouncing over and dropping into his lap. They kissed, kissed like two people who enjoyed kissing each other. The blank paper on the table was soon forgotten.
