The engine runs on Ethanol raccing fuel. When the die-cast version of the model was released in 2015, it featured an up-sloped chin, to optimize its performance in loops. For the 2016 Hot Wheels Entertainment version the base was modified and the chin is no longer up-sloped. The yellow-and-black livery on the CFH01 version is the actual livery of the factory-sponsored C7.R cars which compete in the Grand Touring / Le Mans (GTLM) class of the IMSA WeatherTech Championship, and in the Grand Trouring Pro class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The #3 car is regularly driven by Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen, with Mike Rockenfeller joining the team for the longer endurance races.
