Sharptail was a male shrew in Log-a-Log Big Club's tribe. He was one of the shrews who were taken as galley slaves by Ripfang, while he was out gathering acorns. However when the searats attacked Salamandastron, they left the ship unguarded and the slaves were freed. When he returned home he found that his daughter Emily had grown taller than her mother and that he was now a grandpa shrew.
