- Research is, as its name implies, researching for more powerful and better technology. There are several to be made, some of which are quite useful while others are for other purposes. Everyone starts off with their individual aspect of unique engineering (such as crystal lenses, or Small Terran Hull for Terran, and Aspha Corvette for A. Miner). Every race has Mega Project, Strafez Engineering, and Cyril Alloy, as well as the F-Class Ship. Paid Accounts may have more.

- Research is a feature in Tropico 5. You can research more than 40 technologies that unlock various buildings, edicts, constitution principles, citizen manager traits and other dictatorial goodies. Each technology requires a certain number of previously completed technologies as a prerequisite. It is possible to research all of the technologies available in a particular Era. Technologies can be queued - in this case research on the next technology in the queue begins automatically as soon as the previous one is completed. Starting the game in a later Era or progressing in the campaign will automatically grant all technologies from the previous Eras. Advancing to the next Era in the same scenario will not grant any technologies.

- Research is a series of bonuses and procs that you can obtain if your account has the Lost Eden expansion pack. (Note: players using the free play option do not get access to perks). There are two forms of research. The first is a set of 7 profession-specific research lines called Personal Research, that raise specific skills and give access to Procs. The second type of research is called Global Research, and grants access to mechs and turrets and upgrades for them. Global Research is raised cumulatively by your entire faction; Personal Research must be paid for by your own character.
- Research allows you to develop new items and traps to adorn your lair with. Research can only be conducted by Science minions. Research is conducted in a laboratory. It's best for the Scientist, Biochemist and Quantum Physicist to do the research. Although a Technician can do research, he is slow at doing so.
- Research can be conducted to unlock more items and weapons for purchase in the store (though some of these may drop or be rewarded during missions before they are actually unlocked). More advanced research is unlocked by leveling up and completing previous research. Research is unlocked at level 3 after finishing the second mission in Chapter 1. Research will cost silver, as well as S.H.I.E.L.D. Points. Each research topic also has a built-in waiting period, which can be shortened by paying with gold. The more advanced the topic, the longer the waiting period.
- Under the research tab, players can choose between different types of rides, shops/stalls, special track elements or scenery, that they want to get developed for use in their park, and how much money they want to spend on researching these additional things.
- Research is a technique an archeologist begins with in SLASH'EM. This technique cannot be used at all if you are stunned, confused or hallucinating. If the sum of your INT and WIS exceeds a d60, you are able to identify one item. This number increases to 2 at level 10, 3 at level 20 and 4 at level 30. If you succeed, or if everything in your pack is identified, the technique is reusable after 500-2000 turns. Otherwise, it is reusable after 500-1000 turns.

- Since the introduction of update 5.2, Mech Crusaders allows you to research for special research weapons. Research is done at the Research Center at the outskirts of Sector 3, and can be accessed via the sidebar. Weapons research is split up in 4 different categories, with their own types of weapons. Research takes time, but doesn't cost anything otherwise. You can research all types of weapons, researching a specific type will not bar you from researching another later. However, as you research more weaponry, researching more weaponry will take increasingly more time.

- Most scientific information today is communicated through peer-review publication. This is useful for communicating highly integrated knowledge but it is slow and it leaves out most of the experimental data, thought and discussion that was integral to the execution of the research. Collaboration and publication tools such as blogs and wikis provide new means of distributing scientific information. See also open research. This article is a stub. You can help by [ expanding it].
- Research was an XQ6 Platform located in the Parmel system, and under Imperial dominion during the Galactic Civil War. It was there that Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin conducted, among other types, TIE starfighter research. TIE Defender prototypes began their journey to the Emperor from Platform Research during the Arms Race prior to Admiral Zaarin's treason as part of the Zaarin insurrection against the Galactic Empire around 3 ABY. It was defended by the frigate Thunderer.
- So (OMG) I've spend some time writing this so you better read it :D. I'll tell you about all the research and wath you should do first:
- To research is to search over and if necessary, over again. Conscience (with science) tells us to make certain all of our "ducks are in a row" if we are to suceed in the critical path that we are on. Yes. It is a single path. please vier off whenever you can. Four words that may help:
* fork - yes
* split - it can happen
* join - hopefully for better
* spawn - it's a new day Thanks for helping.

- Crackshot is sitting in one of the laboratories, pouring over some data files he had, hunched over unhealthily as he focused intently, lost to the world. First Aid wanders in, looking around for Ratchet or anyone else he recognizes. He spots Crackshot through an open door, and taps on the doorframe. "Hey Crackshot, how's it going? I didn't get a chance to thank you for the drink." Crackshot looks up, surprised. "Oh. hi! ... First Aid it was? " he asks, turning that way and stretching his shoulders "No problem. I couldn’t buy one for JUST Lifeline." he smiles.
- Research is a tradeskill available to all classes from a certain level onward. (The exact level depends on the class in question, and varies from level 16 to level 25.) Research is used for two major categories of item crafting: for creating spell/song scrolls and melee tomes (including their rank II versions), and for making consumable clicky combat scrolls that produce certain magical effects on-demand. A few recipes exist for other purposes, as do numerous subcombine recipes.
- Research is a form of Plagiarism wherein ones copy from many as opposed to one. There is much about the universe which is unknown. This is commonly viewed as a good thing by most international businesses, who prefer the world to remain in ignorance as it makes it easier to manipulate. And as we all know, ignorance is bliss, so lets just keep it that way. Unfortunately, human babies are born with a desire to explore and understand their surroundings; a sense of curiosity which is satisfied only after complete stimulation of all the senses. Since this stimulation normally involves sex with an anatomically improbable partner, copious amounts of LSD and complete domination of the resources, population and intellectual property of the known universe, most humans die with their curiosity left in
- It is important to do research when you are writing on a topic that you aren't familiar with. Often times, writers make the mistake of creating unbelievable characters because they haven't done adequate research, or haven't experienced similiar cenarios their character may have been portrayed in. J.D. Salinger wanted to create a realistic teenage male character for Catcher in the Rye so he actually invited teenage boys to hang out at his house--once he was finished with his books, he never invited them back. He simply wanted to use them for research and to observe their habits and antics.
- Research is a new feature in Mass Effect 2 that allows the player to research upgrades for Shepard, the Normandy SR-2, the Squad, specific characters, weapon upgrades, and new Heavy Weapons. The research process uses up resources (iridium, palladium, platinum, and Element Zero), that are collected from Missions, Assignments, or from scanning planets. The research terminal is located in the Normandy's Tech Lab on the CIC Deck (Deck 2) and Mordin must be recruited before the player can gain access to the lab. Once an item is researched, it will be shown on the "Upgrade" terminal next to the Research terminal in the Tech Lab.
- Research is the process of using materials to create interesting and unique weapons and items within the Clan Dojo. The Oracle Room must be built before any of the labs can be built and research can begin. Each lab room represents a separate area of research for different types of weapons and items. All projects will take 36-72 hours to research, as no project can be rushed for platinum. Once research is complete, Tenno will be able to purchase the Blueprints from the Respective Lab.
- In OGame, the collective name for the group of technologies which are required for construction of buildings, ships and defenses is Research. Each technology has certain prerequisites - a certain level of Research Lab and, possibly, one or more other technologies. Thereafter the only requirement is the availability of resources. The time taken to research a new level of technology depends on the amount of metal and crystal that particular level costs. Research times are reduced by the level of the planet's Research Lab. See Technology for a list of requirements to research each technology.
- Machine guns and tough-as-nails recruits may help you to build a strong army, but mentally preparing yourself before any fight could mean the difference between victory and defeat. - Research represents the productivity and resources that a civilization spends working new technology. Research is represented by flasks on the Colony Management screen. It costs 1 bc to convert a flask into a technology point. Research is generated primarily by research labs (and their upgraded versions of planetary improvements). Research can be improved by upgrading economic (production) starbases, mining research resources, racial bonuses, random events, by surveying anomalies, and by gaining research treaties from other races (DA feature). Certain planetary improvements will give research bonuses (without directly generating research).
- Each village has its own set of researched discoveries. There are three types of research that can be done in each village, and there is a specific building where each type of research is done. Discoveries made in one village cannot be used in another village; they must be researched in each village where they are wanted. It is not necessary to research all possible units; nor is it necessary to research units in any particular order. There are no "prerequisite troop types", and no "technology tree".
