The 2b2t Arms Race, also known as the Cold War, was a time period in 2b2t history that lasted for 3 years, from December of 2013 during the First Valkyrian Period and ended in the spring of 2016, during the Pre-Hype Period, right before The Age of Hype. This event was a large scale search for the ominous super weapons created by Pyrobyte and iTristan during the second backdoor of 2b2t. The weapons were known as the 32K weapons as they had enchantment levels of 32767, which would essentially render the wielder of these weapons invincible. These weapons were reserved to a select few, however, as time went on, the weapons were traded, donated, lost, and acquired through death.

* sharpness levels that could kill anything in a single hit
* knockback levels that could kick a player for flying
* thorns levels so high that if an opponent touched the wearer, they would die instantly
* fortune levels that could cause so much loot to spawn from either mobs or ores that it could crash the server
* efficiency levels that could instantly break anything, no matter the tps of the server.
* Splash potions with infinite stacking
* Several others with varying abilities The weapons were mass produced during the third backdoor by the Backdoor Crew. The Arms Race ended when Hause returned most of these items to their normal stats and patched the third backdoor of 2b. However, legend has it that some weapons survived Hause's purge and one weapon has been confirmed to exist and now resides beyond the world border.
