Amy Gibson (née Foster) was a tenant of 9 Coronation Street from 1950 to 1960. At 45, she'd given up hope of marrying when she was introduced to 52-year-old bookies clerk Ted Gibson. It was love at first sight and they were married in April 1950 , taking on No.9 at around the same time. Ten years after moving in, the Gibsons won £20,000 on a coupon and left for a world cruise in November 1960 before settling in Dorset. Amy worked at Miami Modes alongside Elsie Tanner.
