The series generally focuses on filmers who have gained a large amount of popularity on YouTube, but also allowed viewers to submit films to be chosen for a total of four "wild card" slots. Battle of the Brick Flicks does not allow films that have been commissioned: "Since we have 4 wild card slots anyone can submit their film to battle and win amazing prizes. The only condition is that it is not a paid project". The winning film of the final round will be presented with the "Brickademy Award"; a LEGO model of an Oscar. A second season is already planned for production.
