Naman is the name of the otherworldly prophet to the Kawatche people. Naman is prophesied to "protect the entire world". He is the sacred patron and savior of the Kawatche people as well as the whole wider world. Many of the Kawatche people believe that Clark Kent is Naman, a belief that can be supported by the Kawatche's connection to Krypton as well as the similarities between the stories painted on the Kawatche caves and the events of Clark's life.

A change of social status also requires bestowing a new name on that particular person. Such a change may happen on account of a number of changes, including entering a religious order and accession to the throne.
