Bob is considered the voice of reason, trying to maintain control over an absolutely chaotic show, very much reminiscent of Kermit the Frog's role on The Muppet Show.is sometimes considered a "co-host" next to Larry the Cucumber. He has played a major role in every VeggieTales Christmas special, sans "It's a Meaningful Life."

Bob sometimes is a little annoyed about Larry when he's going off, but soon later ignores it.
