Michaels), Heaven's Prisoners (starring Teri Hatcher and Don Stark), and Matilda (featuring Tracey Walter). As a production supervisor, Schwab's credits include Paramount's The General's Daughter (1999) and The Sum of All Fears (2002). Both of these films (like First Contact) starred James Cromwell; the former also starred Clarence Williams III and featured set decoration by Marvin March; the latter co-starred Bruce McGill and featured music by Jerry Goldsmith. Schwab later supervised the production of second unit photography on Twentieth Century Fox's Mr. & Mrs. Smith (featuring performances by Greg Ellis, Megan Gallagher, Jennifer Morrison, and Jeff Yagher and costume designs by Michael Kaplan) and Sony Pictures Entertainment's xXx: State of the Union, both released in 2005. Most recently, Schwab returned to Paramount as production supervisor for second unit photography on 2006's Mission: Impossible III (aka M:i:III). This film, like the upcoming Star Trek, was directed by J.J. Abrams, written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and featured photography by Dan Mindel, production design by Scott Chambliss, and a performance by Simon Pegg. Many other production staff members who worked on M:i:III also worked on 2009's Star Trek.
