Rank 1 Recon Detect Device lasts for roughly 20 seconds and at max certification rank will last for 45 seconds. Each rank up for the Recon Detect Device will provide 5 seconds more than the previous rank. It should be noted that you can detect cloaked infiltrators with fired sensor darts. Your sensor darts will only pick up targets if they are moving within the dart's range. Enemies that are revealed are shown to you and friendlies in your dart's area. Direct hits to players and vehicles will also remain attached until the dart deactivates. It is possible to shoot down a Recon Dart stuck on a surface if you find one, hence disabling it. However, due to it's small size, it requires a considerable amount of time to find it and great accuracy to be shot down. As such, firing a Recon Dart in high places would ensure that enemies would not be able to shoot it down. If you are nearby an engineer's ammo pack or a weapons terminal, this can be used to resupply on sensor darts. Currently there does not seem to be a limit on the number of darts that you can have deployed at any one time, meaning that the number of sensor darts deployable would depend on your Recon Detect Device's decay time and the rate of resupply. Rewards +10XP per target killed after being spotted with the Recon Dart.
