Sheriah was a generally peaceful, grassy planet, much like Dantooine, that existed in the far outer rim. It was rural, for the most part, and most of the inhabitants lived on tiny, isolated farms. The one exception was the Nosduh spaceport, a small settlement located on the shore of the planet's only ocean. The ocean itself encircled the planet longitude-wise like a watery ring.

The one exception was the Nosduh spaceport, a small settlement located on the shore of the planet's only ocean. The ocean itself encircled the planet longitude-wise like a watery ring. Though it was peaceful, the planet was not without its mysteries. Several clusters of ancient stone ruins were found all around the planet, and every expedition into theses places has never returned, save for one made by the Jedi-turned-pirate Apocl Raanxa and his crew, who explored one group of ruins and found them to be of the Infinite Empire. It was also rumored that some of the galaxy's most powerful lightsaber crystals were found in certain caves on the planet, but these were never been proven to be true.
