During a search of the city, Major John Sheppard and his team found one such room where an alternate timeline Dr. Elizabeth Weir was found having been in stasis for 10,000 years. Years later, the clone of Dr. Carson Beckett was placed in stasis to keep him alive after it was discovered he was dying as a result of the process which cloned him. (SGA: "Before I Sleep", "The Kindred, Part 2") When Sheppard was sent 48,000 years into the future, he spent 800 years in a stasis pod on Atlantis waiting for a particular solar flare to send him back in time. (SGA: "The Last Man")
