These mountains, named after the way they look like a winding snake on the map, separate the Deep Forest in the north from Britain and Castle Britannia in the south. They are next to impassable, and hold the entrance to the dungeon Despise in their middle part. In Ultima IV, the White Stone was hidden in these mountains, while in Ultima V, the Glass Sword was found at exactly the same place.
