- Perry Moore (1971-2011) was an American filmmaker and producer for the Chronicles of Narnia films: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Moore first read the Chronicles of Narnia as a child, instilling a lifelong love of the series. In 2000, Moore and executives of Walden Media began negotiations with the C.S. Lewis estate for the film rights to the Chronicles of Narnia. In 2001, their persistence paid out. Moore was one of the producers of the first three Walden Narnia films, released in 2005, 2008, and 2010, respectively. He also wrote the Official Movie Companion for the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Moore was one of the producers of the first three Walden Narnia films, released in 2005, 2008, and 2010, respectively. He also wrote the Official Movie Companion for the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. On February 17th, 2011, Moore was found dead in his apartment of a drug overdose. It is reported that before his death he had begun negotiations for a film of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician's Nephew.
