The romantic pairing of Paul and Sonny which became known as PaulSon quickly became a fan favorite pairing despite Paul coming in between the supercouple of Will and Sonny (WilSon). BuzzFeed said Paul as a gay Asian-American in daytime is a "groundbreaking" character.
