Ivan's Tower was a prison located in the Talonguard Castle. It was named after King Ivan Griffin, the first ruler of the modern Holy Griffin Empire. During the events of Heroes V: Hammers of Fate, the usurper Biara, disguised as the legitimate Queen Isabel, locked Godric in Ivan's Tower so she could manipulate his daughter into her service. For a short while, Freyda was constrained to follow the impostor against her wishes, but chose to rebel against the regime when Laszlo foolishly started a war against Grimheim.

During the events of Heroes V: Hammers of Fate, the usurper Biara, disguised as the legitimate Queen Isabel, locked Godric in Ivan's Tower so she could manipulate his daughter into her service. For a short while, Freyda was constrained to follow the impostor against her wishes, but chose to rebel against the regime when Laszlo foolishly started a war against Grimheim. Freyda attempted to rescue her father from the prison before openly opposing Biara, but the false queen quickly learned of her vassal's change of heart, and tortured Godric to death before Freyda was able to set an escape.
