Dawn had risen throughout Bakugan City; the sea fog weaved through the sleepy city. Most of the streets remained silent at this hour. Yet a few early birds were up on their morning walk or setting up shop. An elderly man sat at his newspaper stand. Rugged in a green coat, his cigar glowed amber between his fingers. On his shoulder, a little Ventus Bakugan groaned in annoyance. “Geez Rex, you may be old, but I’ve learned those things are bad for you.” The man known as Rex sighed as he exhaled, “Heh, I’ve been doing em for 30 years Ramdoll, I’m nowhere near dying yet.” “Well it’s your funeral,’’ Ramdoll chuckled at his master’s ignorance. The two of them were an unlikely pair when the Bakugan started conversing on Earth. Rex was a motorcyclist in his youth, but due to his license suspension

The two of them were an unlikely pair when the Bakugan started conversing on Earth. Rex was a motorcyclist in his youth, but due to his license suspension,Ramdoll was the next best thing. “Excuse me, how much are one of these?” Rex almost jumped in his seat, he hadn’t heard the sudden customer approach. Amidst fog, the figure made out to be a tall male; his face concealed by his grey body cloak. “Hmm, can’t read the sign in the fog sir? 100 Yen thanks,” the old man eyed suspiciously. Rex felt an unbearable pressure as he rummaged through his cloak, deep red eyes seemed to glare from beneath his hood. “Here we are,” the male muttered; his coins clattering on the wooden surface. Rex exhaled once again, grabbing the change as Ramdoll slinked into his coat. “Thank you sir, it’s not often I get customers nowadays. One of my regulars took up the ‘Internet’ recently.” The hooded male seemed to grin as Rex handed him a paper. “Well I’m glad I could lend some hospitality.” To Rex his voice sounded broken, he arched a wave as he trudged on his way. “It’s okay Ramdoll, he’s gone now.” Rex hushed as Ramdoll ream merged from his coat. “Who…or what was that?” asked Ramdoll. As the fog parted, the morning rush had begun to cluster. The hooded male grumbled as found a secluded bench, publicity wasn’t his best option for the moment. “ Can I go anywhere without everyone staring me down?" He frisked the newspaper from his sleeve, a Pyrus and Darkus Bakugan floated out of his cloak. “It’s not your fault, none of them have any idea what you’ve been through,” hushed the Pyrus Bakugan. “Heh I can actually agree with you Dragaon, though I think we should teach those snobs a lesson,” chuckled the Darkus Bakugan. “Not everything is solved with violence Munikins.” A comical tick mark appeared above the ball formed Dragaon. “Guys please, I know you’re trying to help, but please stop with the sodding. I’ve heard it a hundred times by now,” the male muttered. His Bakugan sighed as they eyed the paper headlines. ‘ Interspace News All time Brawler Dan Kuso returns from hiatus to commemorate 6th Anniversary “You think this guy will help us?” Munikis questioned at the familiar brown haired and goggled brawler’s photo. The male’s Red eyes glinted beneath his hood. “I guess we’ll have to find out.” He smirked. To be continued…
