  • Gateway Island is the first major location seen in the fanon series, One Dream. It is an island situated within South Blue, where The Slaughter Pirates, the Marines and one of the story's main protagonists, Jolly D. Chris, ran into one another and became engulfed in conflict. Very little info about the island was given, aside from that it was located in South Blue and that it was home to a village of townsfolk whom The Slaughter Pirates terrorized for a short while. After defeating them, Jolly D. Chris decided to claim Gateway Island as his own territory; making it his first known territory in the world. It was implied this was done as an act of defending the island from further threats, albeit it could have just as easily been out of childish selfishness. As a result, Gateway Island became the second major setting for One Dream's Intro Arc; right behind the Florian Triangle.
