Macungie is a borough in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Macungie is a suburb of Allentown, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley region of the state. The population of the borough was 3,039 at the 2000 census. Macungie is named after the Lenape word "Maguntsche", which means "feeding place for bears". The bear is often utilized as a symbol of Macungie.
