Ingrid, seeing Warnock as a rival, convinced him to take direct action and stake Morgan (the leader of the council at the time). Ingrid forewarned Morgan of the attack, allowing him to donne his armour. Taking the opportunity, Ingrid staked Warnock, thus removing her competition.
