The Digirangers first encountered Picklemon (ピッコロモン Pikkoromon) when he used his Bit Bomb attack to defeat Kuwagamon. Disgusted on how the Digirangers & their Digimon did not fight him, he decided to train the group in his hidden jungle lair in the desert under a magical veil that Etemon did not know of. He had Taichi & Agumon try to find their way back out of a cave & had the others clean his floors. When Yamato & Koushiro snuck out of the tower to find their crests, they found them in a well outside of Picklemon's jungle. However, Etemon detected them & sent a Tyranomon after them. When Tyranomon invaded, Picklemon put up his barrier to protect him & the Digirangers from Tyranomon's attack until Taichi returned as DigiOrange &, with Greymon, defeated Tyranomon. Picklemon was about to attack Tyranomon himself, a battle that he would easily win, but he was trying to buy time for Taichi & Greymon. Picklemon knew that the Digirangers would save the Digital World. Later on, Picklemon returned to save the Digirangers from the Dark Masters. He sacrificed himself so that the Digirangers could get to Spiral Mountain. He was also the first one to mention that the Digirangers had something that the Dark Masters didn't that made them stronger (this was later revealed by what can be assumed to be Jyureimon's spirit to a dying Pinochimon as the fact that they had friends). Picklemon spoke in a quick falsetto voice & always ended his sentences with 'pi'.
