After it is completed, it will host the ice sledge hockey events during the 2014 Winter Paralympics, and some of the ice hockey events during 2014 Winter Olympics along with Bolshoy Ice Dome. The venues will be located 300 m apart. It will cost $27.2 million to build the venue, including the temporary works for the Olympics and Paralympics. The latest LED scoreboard technology and game presentation system along with statistics and security is being installed by Colosseo EAS from Bratislava Slovakia. After the games, the facility will be physically relocated to another city in Russia.
