- Jon Roger Davis was born in Louisville, Kentucky. Before Dark Shadows, Roger Davis had played the role of Roger Gibson in The Gallant Men and done some other television work. While he was a member of the Dark Shadows repertory company, Davis married actress Jaclyn Smith, whom Dan Curtis wanted to join the company as a new character to replace the space left by Alexandra Moltke once it became apparent that the audience would accept no other actress in the role of Victoria Winters (the couple later divorced). Smith later became best known for her role in Charlie's Angels with future Dark Shadows cast member Kate Jackson. Thayer David also appeared on one episode of Charlie's Angels.
