  • Monoson first appeared to the public eye at the age of sixteen as the star of the 1982 teen comedy The Last American Virgin, co-starring Phil Rubenstein. He followed this with supporting roles in such films as 1984's Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter with Erich Anderson, 1985's Mask with Andrew Robinson and Wayne Grace, and 1987's Gaby: A True Story, in which he co-starred with Star Trek: Voyager's Robert Beltran. In 1991, he starred alongside fellow Enterprise guest actor Keith Carradine and TOS guest actor Jeff Corey in the TV movie Payoff. The following year, he made a brief, unbilled appearance in the film Final Judgement, starring Brad Dourif, and in 1993, he co-starred with Reg E. Cathey, David Clennon, Thomas Kopache, and Saul Rubinek in the acclaimed TV movie And the Band Played On, for which he received a CableACE Award nomination. This was followed with a brief recurring role on Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1994, along with Dina Meyer, and a role opposite fellow DS9 guest star Casey Biggs in the 1996 TV movie A Promise to Carolyn. Other TV credits include appearances on JAG, Touched by an Angel, Murder, She Wrote, Chicago Hope, The Practice, CSI, CSI: Miami, and 24. In 1999, he appeared with fellow Deep Space Nine alumni Daphne Ashbrook and Lawrence Pressman in an episode of Profiler and began a brief stint on ER, during which he co-starred with fellow DS9ers Rosalind Chao and Gabrielle Union. Monoson recently had a recurring role as Joey "The Rock" Manelli on the series Resurrection Blvd., starring another DS9 guest actor, Tony Plana. Star Trek: The Next Generation and Voyager guest actor Ray Wise also appeared in a number of episodes featuring Monoson.
