Neben ihren mechanischen Tentakeln stehen ihr noch 3 fliegende Mini-Bomben zur Verfügung. Zusammen mir Octopus´ Tarnfähigkeiten und ihren HAVENTROOPERS, die man Woge um Woge besiegen muss, ist es nicht einfach einen Sieg davon zu tragen. Nachdem man sie besiegt hat erhält man ihr OtaCamo-Gesichtstarnung. Damit werden die Tarnfähigkeiten erheblich verbessert. Nachdem man Laughing Octopus und Laughing Beauty besiegt hat, meldet sich zum ersten mal Drebin, der nun nach jedem Kampf gegen die B&B-Corps die Leidensgeschichte der jeweiligen B&Bs erzählt. Laughing Octopus ist eine Zusammensetzung aus Decoy Octopus (Metal Gear Solid) die parallelen der Tarnfähigkeit aufweisen, aus Solidus Snake (Metal Gear Solid 2) aufgrund der Roboter-Fangarmen und aus The Pain (Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater) da sie sehr viel Leid und Schmerz in ihrem Herzen trägt. Der Charakter wird vom Model Lyndall Jarvis dargestellt.
