The battle began during an unknown Kinshra operation in the then-unincorporated town of Edgeville, called Ghost Town at the time, in north-western Misthalin. The Lord of the Kinshra at the time, Lord Shadwell, was working in co-operation with Dellagar, who had assisted Lucien in an undead assault on Varrock almost a decade before. For an unknown reason, Dellagar switched allegiance during the proceedings and began to use Ancient Magicks to slaughter the civilians and even the Kinshra whom he had only moments before been allied with. The battle continued for several days and nights, and Dellagar singlehandedly slaughtered some eight hundred residents of the town.

abstract
  • The battle began during an unknown Kinshra operation in the then-unincorporated town of Edgeville, called Ghost Town at the time, in north-western Misthalin. White Knight and Temple Knight forces were sent by Asgarnia to end the attack, but ultimately nearly 2,000 were killed before Dellagar was apprehended by an alliance of all three knight orders. Shadwell himself was killed in the attack. A new leader for the Kinshra, Lord Milton, rose to power consequently. In the aftermath of the battle, word quickly spread around the continent and distrust of wizards increased significantly as people began to fear what a capable magician could do. The Ghost Town itself became all but deserted, suffering heavy damage in the attack. King Roald appointed a governor to take care of the town, but he failed to do so as it became a hub for criminals and outlaws from the Wilderness. Meanwhile, Sir Amik Varze, who had as of recently been governing Asgarnia in King Vallance's stead, decreed that the Kinshra were to wield no more political power, to which Milton responded with a war declaration that led to the Battle of North Falador.
