Bishop Barry was a bishop who nearly caught Cain Dingle and Harriet Finch canoodling in the vestry of St. Mary's Church. A half-dressed Harriet tries to stop Barry from going into the vestry, but fails. As he pulls open the curtain, he finds Cain dressed in a cassock, claiming to be "Father Gideon". He talks with "Father Gideon" about church matters, but as Cain is about to leave, Barry tells Harriet that one of the parishioners has complained about an inappropriate relationship between her and an "unsavoury character". Harriet confirms this relationship and Cain listens as Barry calls him "scum" and mentions his long list of criminal activities.
