The Purgatory's Escape was first purchased by a pirate named Mashaka Vargo, a man whose cruelty was only matched by his ferocity. He had barely begun to use it in his raids when one of his protégés, a human named Ragnar Starflight, stole the vessel and crewed it with smugglers and mercenaries that he picked up on planets like Nar Shaddaa and Tatooine. A recent attack from raiders has informed the pirate Mashaka Vargo that his ship was found in a most coincidental location...

abstract
  • The Purgatory's Escape was first purchased by a pirate named Mashaka Vargo, a man whose cruelty was only matched by his ferocity. He had barely begun to use it in his raids when one of his protégés, a human named Ragnar Starflight, stole the vessel and crewed it with smugglers and mercenaries that he picked up on planets like Nar Shaddaa and Tatooine. That crew became more adept at their jobs as time went on; they came to know each other, and their captain, and they became one of the better smuggling crews in the Galaxy. The fall of the Empire had little effect beyond simplifying their missions, and the subsequent battles over the years only served to distract the governments out of which they snuck cargoes. The crew of the Purgatory's Escape featured several individuals that would later play prominent roles in the Kuras Tetrarchy, as would the vessel herself. Two of her security officers were the Omwati Jex Sirri and the Ailon Tieradeff Jaggeron; another such officer was Anna Creschia. One of her pilots, Nova Suen, would later become Commodore of the Tetrarchy's navy. Much of the crew was lost, including her captain and Lieutenant Creschia, when they encountered the Solace Station and her inhabitants. Narrowly escaping that, they proceeded to the Kuras System, where they assisted in defeat of Breggar Lark and established the Solace Colony as the Kuras Tetrarchy, with Jex Sirri as one of its prominent members. A recent attack from raiders has informed the pirate Mashaka Vargo that his ship was found in a most coincidental location...
