Disgusted by the never ending philosophical wars wrought between the Jedi and Sith, a small force of both lightsiders and darksiders set aside there differences, and came together for the greater good. These force sensitives dubbed themselves something other than Jedi, Sith, or even Gray. They called themselves Tau. And so the Empire was born. The Emperor, or "Sovereign", Arcturus Sorrows by name, was quick to establish edicts and laws to govern the Tau.
