Departure stations was a shipboard operating condition that was used in the in the late 23rd century. When departure stations were called, usually by the commanding officer, senior officers would assume their positions at various stations necessary to power up a starship and maneuver it from a spacedock. Captain James T. Kirk called departure stations when the USS Enterprise-A left spacedock to rendezvous with Kronos One, which was carrying Gorkon, the Chancellor of the Klingon High Council.
