M'atch-tek'Ksoo'ma, "The Death of the Peace-Bringer", lied within the Shadowlands, many miles south of the Kaiu Wall. It was the plain where the ashes of Ksoo'ma, known as Hiruma Kazuma by the Crab Clan, were spread after his death, upon the place of battle where his Nezumi allies had helped the Crab defeat the maho-tsukai Kuni Kaigen. The Hiruma always sent a scout there when seeking aid from the nezumi, who in less than a day the tribe would contact him to discuss the human's need for the Ratlings.
