| - Refining is an option that lets you create new and stronger Ore from various existing Ore. Refining takes place either in-game under the 'Refining' icon, or in the Skylab.
- Refining is the process of adding bonus stats to items, the bonus stats added are displayed next to the relevant basic stat in the form of '(for example) +1'. In the current version of the game this bonus number will be green, purple, or orange to show the various stages of refining. There are other forms of refining such drilling and recasting, but ingame these are usually referred to as their respective names.
- User can refine anything to its purest potential, refining ore into metal, removing illness from a body, removing impurities in an illness to make it stronger, etc. Refining something means it can become a much stronger variant, or all together progress into a new, pristine form.
- Refining is a technology in Civilization games.
- The Refining skill allows a pilot to use refineries at stations to melt objects back into the base minerals.
- While the ore you unearth is nice and hard, you can't do anything with it if it contains metal, dirt, and sand mixed into it. Not only does it make it difficult to build metal products of adequate quality, it is also difficult to produce even any results. Therefore, in order to use metal, a process in which pure metal is gained from ore is essential. This is where the Refining skill comes in. Through this skill, you can gain pure metal ingots or bars from ore. Do note that you can only use this skill when there is a Furnace to melt the ore in.
- Normal equipment has only general attributes, however refined equipment can have more enhanced attributes based on the original attributes. The refine system is focusing on enhancing equipments' basic attributes; attack for weapons and defence for armor. This is quite different than the forging system. There are three grades of refined equipment; Good, Excellence and Refinement. This will be added after the name of the equipment. e.g.: level 1 weapon: Heavy Iron Spear, will be shown as Heavy Iron Spear [Good], Heavy Iron Spear [Excellent], Heavy Iron Spear [Refinement].

Some refined equipment may have additional attributes such as HP, MP, ATK, DEF and so on. (All the refined equipment may also be classified as the normal equipment, white color for Ordinary, and yellow color for Craftsman, etc.) The forging system can be used on refined equipment to increase it's attributes, but REFINING A FORGED ITEM WILL LOSE ALL PREVIOUS FORGING BONUSES! So, if you have a +17 Forged Lightning Spear and you refine it, it will be a +0 Refined Lightning Spear. Refine first, then Forge. Ok? Refine First, then Forge!

To get the skill You can obtain by talking to either Elen in Bangor, Meles in Filia, or Taunes in Vales with the Skills keyword. Whichever one you talk to will give you a time-limited quest to mine 5 Iron Ores, with the Refining skill as a reward upon completion.
