Darth Vinter was one of the three Dark Lords of the Sith who ruled over the Three Empires. Vinter specifically controlled the Unknown Regions government of the Sith Empire during the years of the Galactic Recession and the war that came afterwards. Vinter was an unusual Sith Lord in that his body was literately breaking apart and he needed special Sith armor enhanced by Sith alchemy to keep himself stable. Without it, he would break apart.

abstract	Darth Vinter was one of the three Dark Lords of the Sith who ruled over the Three Empires. Vinter specifically controlled the Unknown Regions government of the Sith Empire during the years of the Galactic Recession and the war that came afterwards. Vinter was an unusual Sith Lord in that his body was literately breaking apart and he needed special Sith armor enhanced by Sith alchemy to keep himself stable. Without it, he would break apart. Despite this, Vinter was still one of the most powerful Sith Lords of his time. The armor itself would withstand extremely high amounts of damage and regenerate his health due to its alchemy modifications. Vinter was born on Dromund Kaas during 3681 BBY, shortly after the beginning of the Great Galactic War. Vinter later became an active fighter for the Sith Empire during the last several years of the war and the following Cold War and the Galactic War. It was during the last two years of the Cold War when he was severally injured and suffered internal body damage - which resulted him in getting his armor. After the Galactic War came to an end, the Emperor's Sith Empire broke apart into separate smaller governments and Darth VVinter was one of the three warlords who united most of them back together. As a reminder for his pain, Vinter used the ruins of Kaas City for his empire. In 3616 BBY, Darth Vinter encountered a strike team of Jedi and fought against them. However, the powerful Sith Lord was defeated after they cleverly destroyed his armor, knowing that it was the key to killing him. Without the support of his armor, Vinter's body eventually broke apart, leaving only a gory mess behind.
