In 2006 he took Princeton to its first Ivy league Championship since 1995. Terrell appeared in several preseason games for the Kansas City Chiefs, going 15 for 25 in the last one, but was cut before the beginning of the season. He signed as a free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in July 2008. Terrell appeared on Hard Knocks, an HBO reality series on the NFL, and was pictured in a segment with Terrell Owens. Jeff was released from the Cowboys in late August, 2008. Before signing with the Cowboys, Terrell had a brief stint with the af2's now defunct Austin Wranglers, winning the starting quarterback position. Following the Wrangler's first game, Terrell abruptly left the Wranglers in hopes of landing a spot on the Cowboy's roster.
