| - Captain Raymer was an officer in Starfleet in the 24th century. As of 2375, she was commanding officer of the USS Destiny. (DS9 episode: "Afterimage") After a Changeling was discovered aboard the Destiny, Raymer led her crew in an attempt to stop it. Raymer would later tell Ezri Tigan that since Brinner Finok was missing, Dax needed to be joined with her or it would die. (DS9 short story: "Second Star to the Right...") Raymer visited Ezri Dax on Trill after the joining. The captain met with Ezri's mother and eventualy granted the Trill's leave of absence. On stardate 52073.1, she admitted in a captain's log to treating Dax differently as Dax did the same to her crewmates during a stopover that Destiny made to Trill. She also wondered if she had truly given Ezri the choice whether to join with the symbiote. Raymer indicated that the crew missed having Ezri aboard and that Ensign Finok was "severely affected" by the changes to Ezri. (ST website: Startrek.com)
