| - Hama is the hidden main antagonist in the Season 3 episode "The Puppetmaster" of Avatar: The Last Airbender. She is voiced by Tress MacNeille.
- In her youth, Hama was close friends with Kanna, the grandmother of Sokka and Katara. For years, Hama was one of many waterbenders residing in the Southern Water Tribe; however, when she was a young adult, the Fire Nation began raiding the Southern Water Tribe, and systematically weakened its defenses by capturing waterbenders through hit-and-run attacks. Hama and her fellow waterbenders did everything they could to resist the firebending army, and they even managed to freeze at least one ship by suspending it on ice. However, as the raids continued, more and more waterbenders were captured, until Hama was the last remaining waterbender in the Southern Tribe. Finally, she too was captured and led away in chains, while Kanna watched in tears.
- Master Hama (ハモ Hamo) is a Jupiter Adept with powerful abilities of foresight and is a major non-playable character in both games. It is said in Golden Sun that she is the most powerful out of those who could use Chi. In Golden Sun, she resides in Lama Temple, where she teaches several monks. She also taught Chi to Master Feh of Xian, and has other students, including Feizhi and Hsu.

- She is Misha's Mind Guardian. Hama was actually a gift to Misha from Lyner in the form of an ocarina he had crafted by himself, much like how Claire had given Don Leon to Aurica. This is why Hama often acts so infuriated and sarcastic toward Lyner, especially at the start of Misha's Cosmosphere when he does not remember her. Also, she later sacrifices herself in the deeper part of Misha's Cosmosphere to save Lyner from being hurt. Later on, Hama is resurrected when Lyner crafts another ocarina for Misha, again playing the role of being Misha's Mind Guardian. She appears as a very little girl dressed in Japanese robes, and has cat ears on her head.

Zestig jaar voor het begin van de serie was Hama een van de vele waterstuurders van haar stam. Maar toen begon de Vuurnatie met hun aanvallen. Ze vielen aan met snelle en korte invallen, hierbij namen ze steeds een paar waterstuurders mee. Hama en de andere stuurders boden veel weerstand. Een van hun acties was het bevriezen van een Vuurnatie-schip (hetzelfde schip als waarin Aang en Katara opgesloten worden in De Jongen in de IJsberg). Terwijl de aanvallen doorgingen werden er steeds meer meesters ontvoerd, en Hama bleef als laatste over. Uiteindelijk werd ze ook geboeid afgevoerd met op de achtergrond Kanna die in huilen uitbars

- Hama is an old Lanthinari city, but it has recently risen to prominence, and exploded in size. A settlement, temple, and bridge have existed at the Hama narrows in the Nasun River for over a thousand years, but the invention of the waterwheel propelled this city into greatness. The area, with it's deep, swift current is ideal for driving waterwheels, and the waterwheels of Hama drive its flourishing industry.
