Christian Championship Wrestling announced on June 2, 2008, that Night of the Champions will be ending the end of this year citing that they have done a great job promoting all matters that it was intended for (i.e. promoting CCW, the Pay-Per-Views, televisions shows, and merchandise.) It is rumored that it will be brought back as a Pay-Per-View event within the next 2 years.
